i can't remember exactly, maybe it was http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5002 this bug seems to be different issue though.
Yes, it seems to be different.But what got me started was someone complanigng that LyX was chewing memory
with each replace-all operation on a big file. This one is fixed now. JMarc
