I've had a look at this and IMO we could integrate this in the LyX
sources as start of the xml-like save format. Then to start I could
change the write function of insettabuar (LyXTabular) to use this
library. I know we don't want new stuff right now so I thought to
forward this to LyX-Devel so that others can have a look at this too!

Lars what do you think? Now or after 1.1.6? (I guess after we really
should concentrate on removing the bugs we have and not continuing on
introducing new stuff otherwise we won't get 1.1.6 out this year!
(this applies also to Dekels last patch IMO or is it a bug-fix?)
