There is still a problem, yet. If in the preferences file you manually insert the line \bibtex_alternatives "mybibtex" and then save the preferences from within LyX, this line is duplicated. On next save, it is quadrupled, and so on. It seems that the bibtex_alternatives vector gets doubled somewhere in the code, but I don't know where this happens. -- Enrico
