just added 'doc_buffer' in addition to 'buffer', and tried to use the
former or the latter depending on my poor knowledge of the LFUNs.
Because ... ehm ... least effort, does not require changes to other
parts of the code, in the hope this is almost enough for having LyX do
what it is supposed to do on the proper buffer.
