Thanks a lot for all the advices. I am trying now the gmane nttp which seems indeed quite comfortable, although I have noticed that some messages appeared much earlier at the mail-archive than at gmane. Are just have problems with directly posting to gmane.editors.lyx.devel. This message is now copy-pasted in a mail to lyx-devel. Hope my trials didn't produce annoying repeated postings... - Sebastian
