Hi Sebastian, I read your doc and did what it asked, but still some of my fonts aren't embedded: sl...@mydesk:/d/at/books/mental$ pdffonts pthrive.pdf name type emb sub uni object ID ------------------------------------ ----------------- --- --- --- --------- Courier-Bold Type 1 no no no 62 0 NNZTXH+NewCenturySchlbk-Bold Type 1C yes yes no 59 0 ITOAIV+NewCenturySchlbk-Roman Type 1C yes yes no 57 0 Courier Type 1 no no no 71 0 Helvetica-Bold Type 1 no no no 80 0 NKIGEW+NewCenturySchlbk-Italic Type 1C yes yes no 170 0 Helvetica-BoldOblique Type 1 no no no 419 0 sl...@mydesk:/d/at/books/mental$ Only the type 1C are embedded. To produce the PDF I did the following: latex $1.tex dvips -o $1.ps $1.dvi ps2pdf12 -dPDFSETTINGS=/prepress -dMaxSubsetPct=100 -dSubsetFonts=true - dEmbedAllFonts=true $1.ps What should I have done to get all the type 1 fonts embedded? Also, is NewCenturySchlbk a vector font, or a bitmap font? Thanks SteveT -- Steve Litt Recession Relief Package http://www.recession-relief.US Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/stevelitt
