Hello,

I still was not able to solve the problem with biblatex and the option "refsection=chapter". Meanwhile I recognized, that at least something in LyX’ behaviour of compiling has chaged by adding this script.

LyX still does not find the references or rather does not show them in the compiled text (just citekey-abbreviations). But it compiles every section separately, which I could see in my viewer-app (Skim), the doucment-loading-window appears several times.

Does anybody have an idea, why the references are not displayed? Why do I get "permission denied" in the console, when I enter "bibtexall"?

Thank you!

Use one of these, /usr/bin/ or /usr/local/bin/ should be OK.

I have tried both with the same result, and LyX keeps on not to find the references.

I tried to put the file into different folders in /usr (e.g. bin, x11,
texmf, local etc.…), because I hoped, that I could find out just by
trying. I did texhash for every of those instances, but LyX never
found the BibTeX-files and in the resulting pdf I do just get the
citekey-references.

You do not need texhash, this is not tex-relatex.

What happens if you enter "bibtexall" in a console after putting the file in one of the two directories? Is the script found? If not, is it executable?

The script seems to be found, but not to be executable, this is what the console sais:
-bash: /usr/bin/bibtexall: Permission denied

Could it be, that the problem is the /usr-folder itself? I do not know that, but I could imagine, that files inside of that folder are never executionable.

Thank you for your help!
Best
Jess
