If this is committed for standard-usage math inset, put on a helmet
and get ready for all the bugs that will be thrown at you. I was
desperately trying 'enter', 'ctrl+enter', 'shft+enter' when in need of
multiple line formulae. The fact that it was disabled prompted me to
go read some documentation. If people get unexpected behaviour such as
computation results, expect complaints. :)

But if this is implemented only in a separate LyX 'calc tab' document,
then it'd be fine I guess. Regards
