But "Senseless!!!" is the LabelString. So if LabelType is set to "Sensitive"
LabelString should be set to "Senseless!" for the case that the caption is
inserted outside of a float, right?

No, the string is hardcoded in Buffer.cpp::4427 and InsetCaption::updateBuffer
(However, maybe there are occassions where the LabelString is used instead; I
have not checked this).

I now found out that LabelString is only used if the caption is inserted
outside a float.

But why is the LatexName the first time "caption"?

Cut and paste error probably. The first occurrence gets overwritten.

But this strange definition occurs without exception in all layouts/modules, e.g. also in all APA layouts.

The LabelFont is wrong - the label does not appear by default bold in the
output. Am I allowed to correct this?

I think this was in order to be uniform with the (former) standard caption
look in the workarea.

I would not waste much time on this. The whole thing will be ditched in 2.1
anyway.

OK.

thanks and regards
Uwe
