I just downloaded a pre-compiled version 5.4.1 directly from http://www.qt.io/download-open-source/ NO Problems with this version. Far better than my own compile of 5.5. The bin and lib path are changed slightly, e.g. downloaded self compiled bin: /usr/BUILD/BuildQt5/5.4/gcc_64/bin /usr/BUILD/BuildQt5/qtbase/bin lib: /usr/BUILD/BuildQt5/5.4/gcc_64/lib /usr/BUILD/BuildQt5.not/qtbase/lib So I had to adapt PATH and /etc/ld.so.conf.d/qt5.conf Now recompiled lyx (removing first the CMakeCache.txt of course) Works well.
