With this optionž if I don't explicitely set document encoding to default
(in LyX) in stead of auto, when I export it to latex (have to), LyX put
"\usepackage[unknown]{inputenc}" in the exported file.

This method has not been working until I patched babel.sty with info on thai
language.
BTW with entry like
thai thai "Thai" false tis620-0 th_TH "\usepackage{thswitch}"
in "languages", thing seems to works pretty nicely.
I'm not sure whether encoding table for tis620-0 is really used or not. But
I have it already in "encondigs"
LyX seems to complain that it cannot find tis620-0.cdef file. I'm taking
a look at tetex-sorce to see what I can do about this file.
