Tomorrow (afternoon, US East Coast time) I will tag and tar 2.2.0alpha1. Assuming things go smoothly with uploading to FTP I will upload it then as well. We can then make the announcement on Monday after some basic testing and a couple of days for binaries to be built (although if they are not built by Monday that is fine).
If there are any commits that have to do with cleaning up previous commits, or are very low risk, please go ahead and commit today or tomorrow morning. Otherwise, please just wait until after alpha. Scott
