Bug in Insert > Special Character > Symbols in beta1 & 2

Insert > Special Character > Symbols displays the Basic Latin selection 
of symbols on my system. I can choose other selections as expected, but 
choosing the blank line at the head of the list (to display all symbols) 
freezes LyX. This doesn't happen in 2.1.4,  but does in 2.2.0 beta1 and 
beta2 (Uwe's installer of Friday, 12 February 2016) on windows 7.
