Not with unicode-insert. I suppose we should fix that and allow multiple
characters, as will self-insert. If you file a bug report about that, I
expect it can be fixed quite quickly.

But note that you can do things like:
    self-insert ຄໆໆ
where the Unicode characters are just given explicity.
