I’m not sure. These pipes are somewhat portable but nevertheless a strategy
of inter-process-communication that is not common. I think it’s even insecure.

Improvements in this area should be carefully designed and I suspect the pipes
are subject to abandon.

Again: what is the problem you want to solve?
