I think what it needs most urgently is someone telling us: Stop
tinkering with new pet projects (including refactoring), there will be
no more new feature, we focus now on polishing and ironing out issues.
Of course pet projects can continue in other branches, but yes, we will
need everyone to focus on bug-fixing if we're going to get 2.4.0 done.
We have accumulated features meanwhile that would make at least two
major releases.
Indeed, and you are responsible for many of them!
We should aim to release a first beta in January, a first rc in
February.
That may be ambitious, but we can try. I can certainly get another alpha
out ASAP and will do so.
