I pulled out an old mac running macOS Ventura 13.7.8 and tested with LyX 2.5-RC2 built on Qt 6.8.3. This case doesn’t seem to cause the exit problem. Combination of macOS Tahoe and all Qt-6 variants I tested have the problem. Combination with Qt 5 cannot be tested since it requires old AGL framework. From this, I suspect this can be a problem between Qt 6 and Tahoe. I wonder placing a simple waiting timer only for macOS Tahoe before exiting can be a temporary workaround?
