It seems \usepackage{euscript} is preferred over \usepackage{eucal}.
Anyway,
w/o \usepackage{euscript}
\mathcal -> calygraphic style
\mathscr -> LaTeX error
with \usepackage{euscript}
\mathcal -> script style
\mathscr -> script style
