IMHO, this patch is broken:
Try the steps below and you will probably understand, what I have been
talking about (_bindir and _datadir not being treated correctly):
rpm --define '_datadir /tmp/bar' \
--define '_bindir /tmp/foo' \
-bb lyx.spec
_mandir, however is handled correctly:
rpm --define '_mandir /tmp/bla/man' -bb lyx.spec
