Michael you only sent this to me so I'm replying to list so others
(especially Jürgen) can see it -- right at the bottom.

Insure++ checks others a bit but I have it set to filter all X11 bugs
and it does occasionally report something about an outside library but
as that is outside our control I haven't reported to this list -- the
libXpm FREE_BODY bug in XpmReadFile (or something like that) did get a
mention because John experienced problems getting njamd to report
anything after that bug appeared.

Mostly Insure++ seems good for finding memory leaks. But it is
excellent for finding where you freed some memory that you later used.
However it is incredibly slow for just doing that. The source
instrumentation it uses found one thing to complain about in all the
sources -- something you and Purify also found IIRC in mathed.

Would I buy it? Hmmm... If the price was right. I can't get njamd
working to any useful extent so that leaves something else. Might try
LeakTracer again and see what it does.
