Hello, I use lyx, and want to thank you for the quality and usefulness of lyx. ( 1.1.6fix3 of Fri Jul 24 2001, running on Linux Mandrake 8.1 with XFree86 Version 4.1.0 Release Date: 2 June 2001 and XFCE 3.8.11 window manager on a IBM Thinkpad 770X French encoding ISO8859-1 ).

Abandon ----------- ;-( So I send you this bug report, trying to make it as full as possible. ----------- DESCRIPTION of the Lyx crash : I were : -> editing a lyx document in desktop 8 with lyx 1.1.6fix3 . -> editing a png image in desktop 7 with gimp 1.2.2 . In the lyx document, I had inserted an URL. I wanted to save my gimp image with File->Save as gimp window. Being now ine Save As Gimp Window, I needed the image Name I wrote in Lyx. I click on the URL objet in my lys document and copied the url name in the field of the lyx URL Window( with the mouse or with Edit->Copy ), wanted to paste It ( the name ) in the Gimp Save as Window. As soon as I paste the name ( using the third mouse button ) in the Gimp Window, lyx crashed SIGSEGV). ( If I paste it Kwrite Editor, then copy in Kwrite and paste into gimp, no problem ! semms bizarre, no ?? ). This is perhaps as much a Gimp Problem, or a Xfree problem, or a Lyx problem, but Lyx was the only one to crash ;-( I hope the time I took to write this report will be useful for you.
