No, I don't think so, because I get the same with up-to-date CVS here.

I do:

$ ./autogen.sh
$ ./configure --prefix=/opt
$ gmake
$ src/lyx

%% loading a Grace file into graphics is okay, but loading an eps into graphics
%% spits out the following text in the xterminal:

execvp of "/home/lahaye/SOFTWARE/lyx-devel/lib/scripts/convertDefault.sh
/home/lahaye/SOFTWARE/lyx-devel/lib/scripts/convertDefault.sh
eps:/home/lahaye/myGraph.eps xpm:/tmp/lyx_tmpdir95236P6EgpH/myGraph95236RoJLWc.xpm"
failed: Permission denied
LyX: Attempting to save document newfile1.lyx
  /home/lahaye/newfile1.lyx.emergency
   Save seems successful. Phew.
BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter) id: 31457560

I think there's something fishy going on here.

When I do:

# gmake install-strip
$ /opt/bin/lyx

%% and load the same eps graphics file, everything goes fine !!
%% Why is that?

Is something broken in the eps-to-xpm converson script?

Regards,
Rob.
