Cursor displayed at wrong position

If I have a displayed formula in a paragraph [I.e. type
'foobar<S-C-M><Esc>foobar'] and I try to place the cursor in front of the
formula (after the first foobar, it is displayed at the beginning of the
line in front of the foobar. Pretty annoying.

This is also present in 1.2.1, so I did not break that with teh recent
changes.
