First of all, thanks for the good job... Recently I managed to install the new LyX on the Sun-Server of our site. There was one complaint now: The dvi-preview (View->DVI) doesn't respect the current settings of Paper orientation at least (Size?). The cause of this is the check for the presence of the parameter \view_dvi_paper_option "-paper" for the viewer. Maybe, there is an issue here with install? I think, if the previewer is xdvi, then this entry should be made automagically or it should be assumed by LyX itself.
