I (well not _I_ ;-}) would like to have some "special char" that is only used for breaking a line in the exported .tex and shown similarlyx to the Ctrl-Enter 'char' in LyX.
Background is co-operation with people who use LaTeX with an ordinary text editor who insist on "decent" line breaks LyX does not automatically provide. The "line break" special char is not suitable, as it inserts \ + \ + \n in the .tex, not just a \n.
