Absolute nonsense, unless you have outline fonts designed for scaling with anti-aliasing and hinting, and a display system supporting AA -- only just coming for X. For bitmapped fonts -- or on a non-capable display -- it's a very very bad idea. BTW try out the mozilla-fonts someday.
