Yes I think we need this behaviour from some support function.
But I really think that the behaviour we see from the "new"
getVectorFromString is also needed.
f.ex. a construct that would make us more robust is:
vector<string> a = getVectorFromString(l, " \n\t\r");
Where l is f.ex. a line read from a file, and I just want to split on
all "whitespace". (or could be a whole file for that matter...)
