All I can say is, that I am highly satisfied with the CVS-QT-localization in the
last two weeks.
a.) No restrictions in displaying spotted.
b.) Getting the proper chars from keyboard depends on the LANG env.
So selecting LANG=ru_RU prior to start lyx, I am able to insert
cyrillic chars
without farther problems, but then it is not possible to insert latin2
encoded chars.
Writing multilanguage documents with different encodings is therefore
not
so convenient, but still possible.
c.) No problems in writing with latin1 and latin2 simultaneously. (E.g.
german+polish)
d.) Problems with latex, if I mix german and russian in the same paragraph.
(The
problem is LyX here, as one can see in the exported latex)
Did'nt observe any problems using different paragraphs for different
languages.
