Which version of gcc did you use and which version of Qt? I used to get the sigsev error when I used gcc 2.95 but after compiling qt 3.0.7 with gcc 3.2.1 and then compiling lyx also with 3.2.1, I don't get that anymore but I get the new error I reported in my last thread... I'll also try posting on some debian powerpc groups like Angus suggested.. it would be really nice to get the Qt frontend working on this wonderful Mac display..
