They do strange things in them northern lands they do.

Last time I was up, on New Years Day several years ago, the air was 
so cold that the moisture was crytalising out. They call it a 'hoar 
frost'. My ears were so cold they fell off.

Scapa Flow (the huge natural harbour that you lot managed to sink all 
our battleships in in WW I) was fairly calm, but the swell outside in 
the North Atlantic proper was 3-4 metres, peak-to-trough.

Would you go wind surfing on the ocean-proper in such conditions? The 
locals would --- and did. Nutters!!!

This time around, it should be spectacular. The sun has just let off 
the largest ever recorded solar fart and the Aurora Borealis are 
fantastic apparently. Lars is presumably enjoying the show too.
