Do you see any performance problems with the current approach? Part of the old update 'problem' was a convoluted logic to decide whether to redraw or not. I am happy this is gone. Maybe we should pick just a few 'obvious' cases where a redraw is definitely not needed and not to try to catch _all_ cases here... Andre'
