lyx 1.4-xforms and typing the name of a directory

Hi

In lyx 1.4 xforms, if I do File->Open, and then type the name of a 
directory where the filename is supposed to go, I get a new dialog instead 
of changing to that directory as would happen in lyx-qt.

Is this behaviour something that's solely controlled by xforms? If not, it 
would be nice to make xforms behave as qt in this respect.
