I did try that at first, but I wasn´t very successfull. If remember correctly, there is some rudimentary support for msvc in the autotools. It worked, but was horribly slow. Handling all that stuff in C++ did speed it up by a very large factor. Maybe some other cross platform open source project has figured out a more elegant solution by now.... Ruurd
