what are we supposed to do with messages from other programs that cannot be translated directly?ispell (or at least aspell) has its own translation mechanism. If your platform supports internationalization, aspell should forward German/French/... messages to LyX.
E. g. if ispell does not find the dictionary we raise an Alertbox with the content "Can't open /usr/lib/ispell/ngerman.hash" or similar. The message comes from ispell itself. Are there examples where such messages are made translatable?
