Note that now I _really_ removed the cache (it was not done correctly
before!). Does it make a difference?
I'll be away from my test machine for a while, so it'll be a couple
weeks before I can give a definite answer. I looked quickly at it after
you committed the patch, and I didn't notice any difference.
