Hello,
for some reason, LyX 1.4 is terribly instable on the Windows platform. I
don't think that this is a problem of Qt/Free, because it works very
well with 1.3.6. Things that do not work include the layout combo box
(which stops me from working on the layout files) and the document
settings dialog. The crashes/problems occur right after the start of LyX!
I still believe that the cause is some uninitialized variable or some
memory corruption that - by accident - bites me on the Windows platform.
Has anybody ever tried to compile LyX 1.4 on Windows? Angus? Are there
any news concerning valgrind on the Linux platform?
