cut - paste - undo - undo is similarly consistent.
Ah -- and now checking 1.3.6 I see that's how it works there. The
Mac standard is always to put the cursor at the end of the text,
which is what made me think this was anomalous. I guess LyX is just
more intelligent!
OK, I caved too quickly. In lyx-140 with the patch, placing the
cursor at the end of a word, deleting previous word (using mac.bind,
it's <opt>-delete), and then undoing the delete causes the cursor to
now be *before* the restored word. (That's not true in lyx-136.)
Other circumstances seem to work properly.
