It would be nice to build several rpm packages so that all frontends can be installed in parallel: lyx-common (contains everything but the lyx binary) lyx-qt (contains the qt lyx binary) lyx-xforms (contains the xforms lyx binary) lyx-gtk (you guess what...) lyx (empty metapackage that depends on lyxqt | lyx-xforms | lyx-gtk) But I am not sure if this is needed for 1.4.0.
