Then I would expect LyX to remember that I wanted 1.3 format and keep that format even for subsequent saves. I could not preproduce it, although I remember having seen this in a file and asking myself how it could have been produced. Is this reproducible? If yes, can you provide a step-by-step instruction please? Georg
