Assume pl.po is in latin2 encoding. For Polish you need cp1251
(cp1250?) encoding. If you set your locale (maybe something like
LANG=Polish, I do not remember how it works in windows), gettext
should use iconv to translate latin2 to the correct stuff. You may
want to start with LANG=pl_PL.cp1250.
