I can confirm that it 1.4.1 crashes. The LyX preamble window contains a lot of LaTeX preamble that does not belong there -- not sure where it was picked up -- but deleting all that does not solve the crash. The file compiles ok (at least after removing the excess preamble junk) if exported to LaTeX and compiled manually. The LaTeX log includes some messages specific to the class, such as
** Conference Paper ** Before submitting the final camera ready copy, remember to: 1. Manually equalize the lengths of two columns on the last page of your paper; 2. Ensure that any PostScript and/or PDF output post-processing uses only Type 1 fonts and that every step in the generation process uses the US letter (8.5in X 11in) paper size.
Would that cause 1.4.1 indigestion? /Paul
