1.3.7 works just dandy thanks!
If someone does have the same problem, it is also good to know that the
.lyx directory needs to be deleted else 1.3.7 do not enable the DVI viewer.
It was only after I destroyed .lyx n my home directory that LyX worked fine.
I honestly could not find anything in the bug lists before I joined here
and scratched my head for about a week.I use LaTeX & LyX for about
everything I write.
