This is weird as the test succeeds for me, but then I am not surprised by anything on Windows... Anyway, you can test if it is able to produce correct output by manually setting pplatex in place of latex in preferences. You have to change the "LaTeX (plain)->DraftDVI" or "LaTeX (plain)->DVI" entry, depending on whether you are using or not clean_dvi.py. -- Enrico
