Hi Jean-Marc,
in LyX 1.5, any document may have changes, no matter whether CT is 
currently activated or not. The described problem should not occur at all.

Therefore, I would prefer a BOOST::ASSERT rather than an error message 
for 1.5.

For 1.4, this may be an appropriate fix.
