The beamer layout file has known problems in 1.4.x. Does that also occur in documents that have not the beamer class? If yes, please file a bug report with a minimal test case. > Should we have a 1.3.x compatibility mode or such-like? No. We have lyx2lyx, and that takes care of any needed transformation. Georg
