IMO we don't need to require that 2 year old distros have qt4 packages installed by default, but packages should be available from a standard source, e.g. either the vendor (like fedora extras) or some well known backport place (e.g. www.backports.org for debian) Current (by the time 1.5 is released) distros should of course have qt4 instead of qt3 by default.
