I am using cygwin tools. After "mv /bin/sh.exe /bin/sh-no.exe" I cannot preview dvi anymore: $ lyx test.lyx lyx: Disabling LyX socket. pplatex: Process input file test.dvi pplatex: Copy data to test.dvi Failed: dv2dt "test.dvi" I don't know if this is because the cygwin python needs sh for spawning external programs. Someone with a native python should perform the test. -- Enrico
