This part of the backtrace looks strange. Why is noclobber not true or 
false? Why is boost::filesystem::copy_file mentioned, but the error is in 
boost/boost/detail/sp_counted_base_gcc_ppc.hpp?

Does it work if you compile Lars' boost 1.34 snapshot branch? Or, if you 
don't want to do that, if you replace 
boost/boost/detail/sp_counted_base_gcc_ppc.hpp by 
http://boost.cvs.sourceforge.net/*checkout*/boost/boost/boost/detail/sp_counted_base_gcc_ppc.hpp?revision=1.5
 ?
