Does it work if you export to latex, replace the line
\newenvironment{lyxgreyedout}{{\color[gray]{0.8}}{}}
in the preamble with the lines
\def\lyxgreyedout{\textcolor[gray]{0.8}\bgroup}
\def\endlyxgreyedout{\egroup}
and run latex manually on the exported file? If not, please attach an
example .lyx file to the bug at
http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2723
