I am pretty much ready to merge the unicode branch to trunk now. It is not finished it is not nice, it will crash. But is able to read and write utf-8 files, it can handle unicode input for qt3, qt4 and gtk.
Quite a bit of work are still needed, but I think the time has come to
move it to trunk. (Unless I can get people to help out on the branch
that is.)
So... opinions?
